In a parallel universe, I would have loved Obama (and Clinton) to respond to Russert's Farrakhan missive: "NBC doesn't have standing to ask me to reject or denounce Farrakhan's support as long as Pat Buchanan is a commentator on MSNBC" (or Bill Bennett at CNN).
