I think you are being much to superficial on this one. I agree completely with your overriding point that she acted foolishly and clumsily. But was there some legitimacy here?
I hope that, in the interest of fairness, after calling Gerry a clown, you plan to put together a piece about J. Wright, Obama's mentor, pastor and spiritual "father" for 20 years? I'd ask you to look at some of the cases presented and put together a piece that more fairly addresses the way in which race has played, and been played, in this primary.
I love your work and I will continue to love your work. But I think you are being much to superficial on this one. I agree completely with your overriding point that she acted foolishly and clumsily. But was there some legitimacy here?

It's weak on explaining Bill's S. Carolina misstep, but makes a strong case otherwise. Even the Wall Street Journal is catching on.

Your Daily Politics Video Blog: Gerry Ferraro is catching a lot of flak these days. But here at TPM we want to thank her. It's been an exhausting primary season. And we've needed some comic relief in a big way. Saying Barack Obama was lucky to be black may only have been one more 'unfortunate' statement in a string of beauts this election cycle. But going on every show currently on the air to express her outrage at the response to her comments has simply been comedy gold. Check out some of the best moments in today's episode of TPMtv.

Thanks.
She would be a joke if she wasn't so offensive.
