Agree. In fact, I think that what he is saying is that he will be reasonable and not put his head in the sand like GWB who will listen to no one (except Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Joe Lieberman).
By the way, I am from Connecticut and I am really really sorry about Joe L. - we tried to get rid of him, sorry it did not work out!
Sen. Obama has not changed his position on Iraq. Liberman and Faux Fox, et al are spewing right-wing talking points aimed at painting Obama as inconsistent and hyper-political. Someone who puts his own abitions above what's best for the country.
But this time it won't work. I for one, will work hard to make sure of that. I will donate to his campaign, correct misinformation, refute lies and absolutely avoid giving the Rethugs any fodder for their campaign against Obama.
They are trying to muddy the waters for Obama. McCain has shifted like sand on many issues and they are not focusing on that. I am so tired of media spin and echo chambers repeating the old Rovian tactics.
Barack has not shifted his position - and even if he does out of concern for the safety of the troops - I want a President who can change his mind and be pragmatic rather than bull-headedly continue running over a cliff when the facts have proved him wrong, as we have with GW.
A responsible leader's views evolve as more and more current reality comes into view. It's called intelligence - we need more of it in this country.
Obama has not changed his position on Iraq. Corporate media is joining the Rovian tactic of repeating a lie ad nauseum. Sadly, many will be fooled by them. Happily more will not.
Agreed. This is a depressing video to watch, most especially because everything they're talking about is not news. The coordinated right-wing attack team is trying to twist what Obama said into another "flip flop" smear campaign, when he's saying the same thing he said before. Admittedly it's a slight change in emphasis/phrasing, but his message has been consistent.
It seems to me like they're deliberately trying to muddy Obama's positions by failing to discuss the issues honestly and clearly.
Your Daily Politics Video Blog: The McCain camp has jumped all over Obama's statement last week that he would continue to "refine" his Iraq policy following a planned upcoming meeting with military leaders in the country. Obama says he's remained totally consistent, but Joe Lieberman and the Fox News Sunday "All-Star Panel" beg to differ.
