Al Qaeda Al Qaeda
Among his less than impressive comments on Meet The Press on Sunday John McCain seemed dangerously close to repeating the old chant of "al Qaeda al Qaeda" in Iraq. He suggests that the Malaki govt. will form some kind of alliance with al Qaeda if the US leave- this seems an far fetched idea: that the Shi'ite SCIRI representative, and his party would consider an alliance with the Sunni extremist al Qaeda elements who have been seeking to start an ethnic war in Iraq for 4 years. In fact it seems dangerously close to fear mongering to win votes. Having heard the 'al Qaeda' bamboozle before, one can wonder if the electorate and even Republican voters still buy it.
