Blackwater Gate
Blackwater's back in the trenches. Where, it seems, they are more trigger-happy than their peers. The NYT reports that Blackwater actually tops all firms in Iraq in shooting rates while guarding American diplomats. In addition to the now infamous Sept. 16 shooting (in which at least 11 Iraqis were killed), company personnel have fired weapons at least twice as often on convoy missions than other American security firms. So they're now under investigation in Washington as well as Baghdad -- but they're still operating? And Romney's still keeping their CEO on his campaign staff. Clearly, he's a little jealous of all the attention Giuliani's getting and wants to mire himself in a little controversy, too.
