Plant-Gate
You probably saw CNN's exclusive last night that a College Student came out to say that she was asked to ask Hillary Clinton a specific question at a talk she gave on energy in Iowa earlier this month. Oh the tears, the betrayal. Of course staging in politics is nothing new- why does George Bush like to give talks at Army bases? Can't get a more controlled, disciplined audience than that. The question itself was pretty inocuous- "As a young person, I'm worried about the long-term effects of global warming. How does your plan combat climate change?". It was suggested to the student as her own question, on other candidates' plans, didn't seem appropriate. HC isn't the best person to answer questions on other candidates energy plans.
Was this so bad? Is it terrible to have suggested questions for candidates? It seems part and parcel of the political theatre we have to look forward to for the next year. Another question might be, how could one prevent it?
Hey, at least it seems John McCain doesn't plant his questions. (Or does he...)
Hillary, CNN, energy, question plant

I get what your saying- but isn't there something horrible about the idea of staging questions from the public? Are our candidates really so afraid of having testing questions..
i agree, johnny, but in a political climate where candidates are asked what to do about the b----, and not about their platform, what does it mean that what they're staging (what's your plan to save the world?) is actually put on IN ORDER to talk about the issues?
