NYC Gay Org Releases Giuliani Files

They say it’s tough going for a senator on the presidential campaign trail, but nothing beats a former New York City Mayor trying to pass himself off as a social conservative.

For Rudy Giuliani, it’s just another form of drag. And for my money, he’s a lot more convincing in a dress.

I’ve been saying this for so long that even I’m sick of it, so thank god for my fellow New York City gays at the Empire State Pride Agenda for setting up this clearing house for all things Giuliani’s Gay New York.  Welcome to the Giuliani Files !

It’s 2007 and the days of hiding out in the gay ghetto are gone.  In other words, Rudy, if you’re going to wear it in New York, girl, you’ve got to own it out in the world.

Seriously, though, when are these guys going to get smart and stop using gays as social lightening rods?  Didn’t they learn anything from Karl Rove?  If they just let the  gays off the hook then they could use issues like national security and taxation to slice off their own chunk of yet another voting block.

And just those few seconds trying to think like Karl Rove makes me feel like taking the rest of the day off and heading to the nearest piano bar.  Ick. . .
