Huckabee Unscathed in GOP Debates

Having overtaken his lead frontrunner Mitt Romney in Iowa, Mike Huckabee rolled confidently into - and through - the last Republican debates today before the Jan. 3 primary.

Watch out, Rudy.

Giuliani, who still has a hold on the national poll, came under fire for the security costs he expensed to the City while jetsetting out to Southampton for weekend trysts with his then-mistress - which just doesn't warm the cockles of the crowd's hearts like Huckabee's "Aw-Shucks!" attitude always does.

But the much anticipated immigration showdown we'd all been expecting between Mitt and Huck never materialized; indeed, the most drama from the event apparently occurred after, off camera, when Huckabee had to apologize to Romney for falsely insinuating that Mormons believe Jesus and the Devil are brothers. 

Pardon me, preacher.  I would have thought they covered that in seminary.
