Romney Gets Testy With Press in S.C.
Mitt Romey's obviously been looking at the polls out of South Carolina, and in the face of another impeding loss to John McCain or Mike Huckabee it's just not that easy to hold it together. Especially when members of the press refuse to sit at his feet at the Staples in Columbia, S.C. and wordlessly jot down his talking points for the day.
In a nut shell, Mitt tried to paint himself as a 'change candidate'--Obama should have the phrase trade marked--claiming that his candidacy is not beholden Washington lobbyists like some others'. AP reporter Glen Johnson insisted that Romney acknowledge lobbyist and former Bush I adviser Ron Kaufman's role in his campaign, and what ensued was more hair-splitting madness from the man who just can't seem to tell it straight.
