Huck's Big Kansas Win

POSTED BY Raleigh-Elizabeth Smith, 09 February 2008

Huckabee scored a triumphant victory in Kansas today, where he beat John McCain in the state's caucus 60 percent to 24.  A resounding 36 delegates for Huckster.  (Oh yeah, count 'em.  Them's the big numbers.)

Republicans also voted in a primary in Louisiana and held caucuses in Washington.

McCain began the day with 719 delegates, far ahead of his remaining rivals. Huckabee's Kansas victory left him with 234.

No clear winner on the left yet, although Obama better hope for a win given his roots in the state.
