In Cleveland today, former presidential candidate, Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut made a passionate and magnanimous speech endorsing the candidacy of Barack Obama. Praising Obama’s “judgment, grace and poise” Senator Dodd spoke of Barack Obama’s capacity to “restore America’s possibility”. He also sought to confound claims of Obama’s lack of experience, talking about his work in the U.S. Senate, proclaiming outright, “He is ready to be president”. Senator Dodd also mentioned Bill and Hillary Clinton in his speech, saying, “I admire them very deeply… and I believe they’ve made significant contributions to our country” but later added, “I believe the hour has come to make this particular choice.”
