Top Universities: We Believe That We Are Indeed Capable of Achieving Our Designated Goals!
It's no secret that people who go to or went to college are more likely to be in the cult of Barack than those who have missed out on the joys of spending four years in big box rooms listening to people talk. But that says very little, really. After all, George Bush has degrees from Harvard and Yale. But what about the ubernerds who actually devote their lives to learning things? How do they feel?
Well who do they give to?
Obama, apparently. Here are the total donations from the staff of 14 geographically disparate elite universities that came to mind as I was writing this article:
Total Fundraising: id="blog_post",363,942
Obama: 5,707
Clinton: 8,235
Listed are the figures for each university. Obama manages to out raise Clinton at each, even where the Clintons went to school (Yale, Georgetown). I have also listed a donor for each candidate at each university. Of particular interest, Anthony Lake at Georgetown, who was Bill Clinton's first National Security Advisor. He supports Obama. There is also William J. Perry at Stanford, who was Bill Clinton's first Secretary of Defense. He supports Clinton. I think they should debate.
