What goes in Dick Cheney's safe
It was last year that word first emerged of Vice President Cheney keeping "man-size Mosler safes" in his office at the White House. The revelation spurred on Jon Stewart's hilarious "You Don't Know Dick" series and a million less funny jokes online.
This, perhaps, is another one of them.
You see, it's not secret documents that the Vice President keeps in the safe, it's soft drinks. Deb Riechmann reported yesterday for the AP at the end of her road trip with the VP:
Pack the Diet Sprite - a Cheney favorite. Keep the decaffeinated lattes flowing and tune the tube to Fox News.
By the way, an interesting factoid. Mosler, which made the vice president's safes, is out of business, and its safes are serviced by Diebold, which oughta be some grist for the mill for some conspiracy theorist somewhere, i.e. Dick Cheney has a safe - the safe is made by Mosler - Diebold has the key.
