Well, he didn't say that verbatim, but after John McCain learned of his newest endorsement from Heidi Montag, star of The Hills, he told Time.com's Swampland blog, "I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of The Hills, especially since the new season started."

The above clip is from Morning Joe, in which Joe Scarborough jokes with McCain, saying, "We were extraordinarily impressed at your ability to look right into the camera and lie about the fact that you're a huge fan of The Hills. Heidi Montag on your side – you got that going for you."

To that Mccain replied, "That was pretty good wasn't it? Well, she's a very talented actress." Read the transcript here.
