Chelsea goes on a gay bar crawl in Philly, gets groped
Chelsea Clinton and Pa. Gov. Ed Rendell went gay bar hopping in Philly in order to drum up support for Hillary. Literally stopping traffic, Chelsea was surrounded by fans and even groped by a young woman. From MSNBC's First Read:
Led around the neighborhood by Gov. Ed Rendell, Chelsea was mobbed by local gays and lesbians, as she walked from one club to the next. They ran up to hug her, posed for pictures and certainly invaded her personal space.
“I grabbed her ass,” one young woman exclaimed to her friends after snapping a picture with her arm around the former first daughter.
“Chelsea, the gays love you!” one fan exclaimed, as she took the microphone at Bump, a restaurant and bar that was her first stop. “Oh, gosh, I don’t know if everybody loves me,” she responded.
Campaigning for the LGBT vote is not new for Hillary Clinton. She has several prominent supporters in the community, including Elton John and Ellen Degeneres. (Obama has some as well). In light of the recent dust-up concerning Obama's selective approach with the gay press, such campaigning will score some points for Clinton who looks to win big in tomorrow's primary.
