Now there's an idea we can really get excited about. I'm envisioning something along the lines of the set up Matthew Lee has at the United Nations. Hillary's talk of having bloggers reporting on government agencies in real time is so intriguing that you almost forget about the wacky question that provoked it. Something silly about Don Imus and Gerald Ford, and releasing all CIA files on the assassination of J.F.K.

For weeks now, the Huckabee thread of the campaign narrative has been that the stronger he gets, the more intense the scrutiny he’ll face from the press and his republican rivals.

Now that he’s pulled ahead in Iowa, the obvious tactic—and it ain’t hard—is to portray Huck as being that kid who runs for class president by being real nice to everyone and making a good natured ass of himself when necessary.
