According to Clinton's own Howard Wolfson, the New York Senator will not run for governor, and will continue to support Gov. David Paterson.
“This whole line of inquiry is ridiculous,” Mr. Wolfson said. “There are no circumstances under which Senator Clinton will run for governor.”

Paterson praised the speech, saying, “He talked about the different avenues of society that become frustrated.” Bloomberg, who deferred to Paterson at first said, “I think it’s an issue that he has to address, I thought he should have done it earlier, I’m glad he did and let’s get on with it.
According to New York Magazine, when asked by an intrepid reporter asked, "Just so we don't have to go through this whole resignation thing again, have you ever patronized a prostitute?" David Paterson, the soon-to-be Governor of New York, responded:
"Only the lobbyists."
