    NATO's Afghan mission is entering the spotlight as the NATO summit in Bucharest in April approaches. Vice-President Dick Cheney visited Afghanistan today to meet with President Hamid Karzai. Cheney's goal was to get further information on the Afghan situation, in preparation for his upcoming pleas for more action in Afghanistan by NATO allies. Cheney claimed:

    Dick Cheney was found to have an irregular heartbeat during a doctor's visit, the VP's office reports. The White House says he will undergo examination tonight and if necessary, receive electric shock therapy to restore his normal heart rate. In 2004, Tony Blair also suffered an irregular heartbeat while under tremendous political pressure for military involvement in Iraq.
