  • Obama Wins Maine

    POSTED BY RALEIGH-ELIZABETH SMITH, FEBRUARY 10 2008 11:08 PM | PERMALINK

Rounding out a weekend full of upset in the Clinton camp, Barack Obama is winning today's Maine caucuses according to CNN:

With 95 percent of precincts reporting, Obama was leading Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York 59 percent to 40 percent. At stake are 24 delegates to August's Democratic national convention in Denver.

  • Huck's Big Kansas Win

    POSTED BY RALEIGH-ELIZABETH SMITH, FEBRUARY 09 2008 07:49 PM | PERMALINK

Huckabee scored a triumphant victory in Kansas today, where he beat John McCain in the state's caucus 60 percent to 24.  A resounding 36 delegates for Huckster.  (Oh yeah, count 'em.  Them's the big numbers.)

McCain began the day with 719 delegates, far ahead of his remaining rivals. Huckabee's Kansas victory left him with 234.

No clear winner on the left yet, although Obama better hope for a win given his roots in the...

More and more,...
