A huge congratulations to the star of our network Josh Marshall and the team at TPM. Today it was announced that they are winners of a George Polk award for their coverage of the firing of federal prosecutors. At a time when the future or newspapers and the model for journalism is up in the air, Josh has shown a new independent way by utilizing old fashioned muckraking efforts. We are all proud to be associated with him and the work of TPM.

What do you think? Assuming he doesn't quickly endorse one candidate or the other, who does Edwards' exit help? There are some number crunching arguments that it helps Hillary -- with the three candidates to split delegates in states where they're alloted by district, the highest vote getter gets marginally few delegates than with two candidates. Yet another point to consider, is that with Edwards in there was a decent chance you could come into the convention with Hillary with most delegates but not...

The White House hasn't been so great at playing well with others, at least in recent history. And the future doesn't look much different. It'd be nice if there were some diversity in the administration, but according to Romney, the Muslim American population is so small that he could not justify giving a cabinet position to a Muslim. A terrifying thought and a great video extra from our very own Josh Marshall, a GQ man of the year.

7 Years ago today Josh Marshall started a blog called Talking Points Memo. Seven years, several political scandals and attorney general's later it has evolved into the juggernaut we know and love today. We are proud to co-produce TPMtv here at Veracifier.
