    TPMtv: Muck-O-Rama Contest 2007!

We're coming up to the end of the year. And here at TPM we're going to see off 2007 with a contest to recognize things like the biggest bamboozle of 2007. Biggest fib. Most abject loss of dignity in testimony before Congress. We're looking for your help on a couple fronts. What should the categories be? And most of all we need your nominations for winners. Ah, Robert Novak.  The political genius who so intrepidly evaded any semblance of civic responsibility or journalistic integrity after outing Valerie Plame as a CIA agent way back when.   The Grand Ole Pundit himself now points a new finger at Plame: she's apparently part of an Anti-Bush cabal at the CIA.  And Novak shrugs any relative accountability even today -- as he reasons, the woman drives to work every morning (to think!) and, apparently, any terrorist with their eyes on the...

Usually, the majority party, with more power and money, takes the scandal cake. It's almost an iron law of politics. But whether it's lobby shop or the restroom, the GOP has so far been able to reverse the historical tide, maintaining a decisive muck advantage even in the political wilderness.

    Alaska Mucktacular!

When you're a state with just 3 people in your entire congressional delegation and all 3 are involved in public corruption scandals, well... that probably merits an Alaska Mucktacular!
