I read TPM all the time and am on board as to your views regarding politics in general but your constant dismissive attitude about how illegal immigration negatively effects this country, puts you more in the camp with the elites and not the progressives. Immigration is great but illegal immigration has many down sides for the migrants and the greater population in the US. Until you start to be a bit more open to all views on immigration and not a knee jerk elitists, I want nothing to do with you or your site. I am an environmentalist and while illegal immigration is by no means the pinnacle of our environmental problems, it most certainly contributes. The CBO estimates that the US will add 100 million to its population over the next 40 years, most of that growth coming from immigration and birth rates of those coming from Latin America. Not to mention labor issues, housing, our indigenous poor, education, health care…. You never make a argument for this position, you just act like it can be the only way of thinking, thus all others are wrong. This way of thinking is of the DLC and was the way of the Republicans, but they see the writing on the wall. Thanks to the last senate debate, regarding illegals, America has become much more alert to this problem and has subsequently moved the bar as to what we now know to be true. You need to be a beacon of information not of judgment and arrogance.
Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney are currently locked in a struggle for front-runner status in the Republican presidential nomination race, and one issue that's emerged to define this early period of he race is that of illegal immigration. Giuliani is taking a hard line these days, claiming he can put a complete stop to it once and for all. But this seems to be a fairly recent position he's taken. We take a look at his past statements, and his comical attempts at squaring them all.
Giuliani CSI! love it.

This sounds interesting. Would like to try it. Helps get a varied perspective and what's going on..
